Laurel TV’s crews went out into the City and captured these stories the last couple of weeks. Check them out at the links below:

  • Laurel TV's Myleah Lofland discovered many parents were out prior to school starting back up, taking advantage of the tax free week of shopping! If you're doing back-to-school shopping or just want to get some new clothes, the week of August 11th to August 17th was the time to do it, especially for parents who were looking to save money.  According to a report done by the National Retail Federation in 2018, parents are spending nearly $700 per child, so tax free shopping week helps take the strain off of parent's wallets:
  • Laurel TV's newest reporter, Stephanie Johnson, took a trip over to the University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center Campus and got an update on what to expect in the coming months, as well as what makes the new campus standout from the old Laurel Regional Hospital:
  • Laurel Police Officer Willis was on a normal patrol when he suddenly was flagged down by a frantic citizen. What he didn’t know was that he was about to play a role in one of life’s greatest miracles. He and two other officers would be helping to deliver a child. Laurel TV’s Myleah Lofland spoke to the officers to hear their story:
  • After years of holding the assistant principal title at Laurel High School, Michael Dinkins is filling a new role. Now, he is the school's acting principal. Dinkins sat down with Laurel TV reporter Stephanie Johnson to discuss the challenges that come along with his new position as well as his desires to become the permanent principal of the school:
  • When you walk up to the Laurel Municipal Swimming Pool, you’ll notice there’s a sparkling new addition to the entrance. It’s the culmination of the work done by 5 Pallotti High School seniors. Laurel TV’s Myleah Lofland went to check on the mural after seeing the process of it being made just a few months ago:
