The City of Laurel's public access television station, better known at Laurel TV, has earned a high definition channel from Comcast. City residents who subscribe to Comcast can now see all their favorite Laurel TV programs in HD on Comcast channel 996. The station still airs in standard definition on Comcast channel 71 and Verizon channel 12.
